Angel Food Pie

Made with 1 baked and cooled 9-inch pie crust, 1 can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice), 1 c. water (best to use all pineapple juice, if possible), 1 c. sugar and 4 tbsp. cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine sugar, pineapple and water in saucepan.
Add diluted cornstarch and cook until thick.
Whip 4 egg whites until stiff peaks form.
Fold hot mixture into beaten egg whites.
Pour into pie crust and chill thoroughly.
Just before serving, top with Cool Whip.
