Angel Flake Biscuits
Angel Flake Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 5 c. self-rising flour, 2 c. buttermilk, 3/4 c. shortening, 1/4 c. sugar and 1 pkg. rapidrise yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water; set aside.
Mix sugar, flour and shortening with a fork.
Pour in yeast mixture, then pour in buttermilk and mix well.
Add extra flour if you need it to get dough ready to roll out.
Cut out biscuits and place on greased pan.
Bake in preheated oven at 400Β° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven to butter.
Makes 20 large biscuits.
