Angel Delight
Angel Delight is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 angel food cake, baked and let stand overnight, 1 (no. 2) can crushed pineapple, 1 box coconut, 3 envelopes dream whip and juice of 1 lemon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Dissolve gelatin in cold water; add boiling water, sugar, crushed pineapple and lemon juice.
Chill until partly gelled. Whip 2 envelopes of Dream Whip (make sure your bowl, beaters and milk are very cold).
Add to gelatin mixture.
Flake angel food cake into very small pieces.
Put 1/2 of flaked cake into a 9 x 13-inch pan; place 1/2 of gelatin mixture over cake.
Add last 1/2 of cake pieces and remaining gelatin mixture.
Prepare last envelope of Dream Whip.
Spread on top.
Cover with coconut; chill overnight.
