Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 2 tbsp. warm water, 2 c. buttermilk, 5 c. plain flour, sifted and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to buttermilk.
Mix dry ingredients well.
Add Crisco to dry ingredients, pinching with fingers until all the shortening is in tiny pieces.
Add liquids to dry ingredients; mix well.
Place in covered bowl in refrigerator; use as needed.
Take out amount of dough needed; use enough flour to roll and cut out dough.
Melt oleo in large size 2-inch deep casserole dish.
Flop each biscuit on both sides in the oleo; place in dish.
Let rise at least 20 minutes and bake in a 425Β° oven until brown.
