Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 2 1/2 tbsp. warm water, 5 c. plain flour, 2 tbsp. sugar and 1 tbsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Dissolve yeast in water.
Sift flour.
Add dry ingredients to flour.
Cut in shortening.
Stir in yeast mixture and buttermilk. Mix until moistened.
May be rolled out and cut into biscuits. Place in greased baking pan.
Allow to rise about an hour before baking.
Bake at 400Β° for 12 to 18 minutes.
(Dough may be stored in plastic in refrigerator for several days.)
