Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir in shortening.

Meanwhile, dissolve yeast in 2 tablespoons warm water.

Mix well; add buttermilk and mix again.

Place in a covered container in refrigerator overnight.

Roll out on floured board about 1/4-inch thick.

Cut with desired size biscuit cutter.

Bake at 400Β° for 12 minutes.

A minute or two before done, brush tops with melted butter.

These freeze well.
