Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 5 1/2 c. self-rising flour, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 c. crisco, 2 pkg. yeast dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water and 2 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Add yeast mixture and buttermilk. Knead lightly on floured surface.
Cut with 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on baking sheet; brush top with melted butter.
Let rise for 1 hour.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 minutes.
Yields about 2 1/2 dozen.
