Angel Biscuits

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
Into a bowl sift flour with other dry ingredients.
Cut in shortening.
Add buttermilk, then yeast mixture.
Stir until all flour is dampened.
Knead on floured board for a minute or two.
Roll out to desired thickness (1/2 to 3/4 inch) and cut with a biscuit cutter.
Bake at 400Β° for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
