Angel Biscuits

Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside.
Mix dry ingredients in order given, cutting in shortening as you normally do for biscuits or pie dough.
Stir in buttermilk and yeast mixture.
Blend thoroughly. Turn dough out on floured board and knead lightly.
Pat out and cut.
Place on a greased baking sheet. Let dough rise slightly. Bake at 400Β° until lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
