Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 5 c. self-rising flour, 1 c. shortening, 1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast, 2 c. buttermilk and 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Shortening into flour until mealy. Dissolve yeast in a little lukewarm water.
Add to flour with the rest of ingredients.
Well. Roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter.
Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 15 minutes. Makes about 7 dozen.
