Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Dissolve yeast in warm water; mix with buttermilk (room temperature).
Add mixture to dry ingredients and mix well.
Roll out 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with round biscuit cutter or juice glass.
Dip in melted butter or margarine and let rise 1 hour.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400Β° for about 15 minutes or until done.
Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
