Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. self-rising flour, 3/4 c. shortening, 2 c. buttermilk, 1 tsp. soda and 3 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.
Cut in shortening and flour.
Add buttermilk, soda, sugar and yeast; blend well. Pinch off dough and roll biscuits; place in greased pan.
Let rise.
Bake at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
Leftover dough may be refrigerated for several days in airtight container.
Makes 2 dozen biscuits.
