Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. self-rising flour, 1 c. crisco, 1 c. buttermilk (room temperature), 1 tsp. salt and 1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. warm water and 1 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Sift dry ingredients together (except sugar).
Let yeast mixture stand in warm place until yeast is lively and bubbles up. Add Crisco to dry ingredients, then butter and yeast mixture. Roll out and cut rolls into desired shape and size.
Place on greased baking sheet; cover with damp towel or waxed paper for 30 minutes.
Bake at 425Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
