Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1/2 c. shortening, 2 tsp. baking powder, 3 tbsp. sugar and 1 pkg. dry yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add with buttermilk to dry ingredients; mix well.
Turn out on lightly floured board.
Add more flour if needed and knead about 1 minute.
Round out to 1/4 inch thick; cut and dip in melted margarine.
Place on greased pan.
Let rise 1 hour.
Bake at 400Β° for 20 minutes or until done.
