Angel Biscuits
Angel Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. self-rising flour, sifted before measuring, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. soda, 1 c. shortening and 2 c. buttermilk (lukewarm), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Dissolve yeast in warm water; sift flour, soda and sugar together.
Add shortening, mixing well.
Add buttermilk and dissolved yeast mixture; stir well.
Refrigerate before using (overnight is best).
Roll and cut into biscuits.
Let rise 1 or 2 hours.
Bake at 350Β° until lightly browned.
(Will also keep in refrigerator at least a week.)
