Amaretti(Cookies)
Amaretti(Cookies) is an easy dinner. Made with 1 egg whites, 2 tsp. amaretto, a few drops almond extract, 1 2/3 c. ground almonds (6 oz.) and 1 1/3 c. powdered sugar, sifted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a small bowl, very lightly beat egg white, Amaretto and almond extract together.
In a large bowl, put almonds and sugar and mix well.
Put egg white mixture in and mix to form paste. Shape mixture into 36 equal size balls and put on cookie sheets (coated with grease and wax paper).
Bake at 350Β° for 15 minutes or until just lightly brown.
Remove cookies from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Cool cookies on baking sheets.
