Cut softened margarine into flour.

Sprinkle 2 tablespoons water over mixture and mix with fork.

Roll into a ball and divide in half.

On ungreased cookie sheet, pat each half into a 12 x 13-inch strip, about 3 inches apart.

In medium saucepan, heat butter and water to a rolling boil.

Remove from heat and stir in extract and flour.

Stir vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball in pan; about 1 minute.

Remove from heat, add eggs, one at a time, beat until smooth.

Divide in half, spread over strips; make sure to cover strips with batter.
