Almond Pine Cones
Almond Pine Cones is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. whole natural almonds, 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 5 crispy cooked bacon slices, crumbled and 1 tbsp. finely chopped green onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Spread almonds in a single layer in shallow pan.
Bake at 300Β° for 15 minutes, stirring often, until almonds just begin to turn color.
Combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise and seasonings. Mix well.
Cover; chill overnight.
Form into shapes of 2 pine cones.
Place on serving platter or cutting board.
Beginning at narrow end, press almonds at slight angle into cheese in rows until all is covered.
Garnish with artificial pine sprigs.
Add cheese spreader or knife to plate.
Serve with crackers.
