Alecha is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 3 c. onions, 1/2 tsp. ground ginger, 1/2 tsp. curry powder and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Saute onion in butter until tender and golden.
Mix ginger, curry, salt, garlic and tomato paste to water.
Add to onion mixture.
Add 2 to 3 pounds of chicken to sauce; simmer until chicken is done.
Serve over rice.
Skinless chicken breasts work very well in this recipe.
