Alabama Biscuits

Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Combine 2 tablespoons Crisco oil and 3/4 cup warm milk.
Add milk mixture, along with the yeast to dry ingredients.
Mix well; knead 5 to 7 minutes.
Roll out about 1/4-inch thick on floured surface.
Cut with biscuit cutter.
Let rise 1 hour and bake at 425Β° until brown.
