πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Instructions

Mix 1/2 cup warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar in a small bowl. Add dry yeast and let stand 15 minutes.

In a large bowl, mix 3 1/2 cups warm water, 1/2 cup sugar, shortening, vinegar and salt.

Mix well and let cool to lukewarm.

Add flour.

Knead until smooth and elastic.

Let rise, then punch down and form into rolls.

Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes or until done.

This is a large recipe and can be cut in half.

A full recipe will make 5 to 6 dozen rolls.

I usually make a large pan of rolls plus a pan of cinnamon rolls and some hamburger buns.

It is also a good recipe for hamburger buns for family gatherings.

The extra rolls freeze well.
