A Fall Supper
A Fall Supper is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 4 minutes. Made with country ham, sliced, c. flour, black pepper, c. tomato juice and water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Brown slices of country ham in ample grease (I use Crisco). Remove ham.
Brown flour very brown, put a lot of black pepper in pan and add tomato juice.
Add water to desired consistency and simmer.
Fry apples in a frying pan, adding sugar and bacon drippings until done (add a bit of salt).
Add a pan full of steaming hot biscuits that contain chunks of cheese in the center. Together with grits and lots of the tasty tomato gravy you will have a feast incomparable.
