7 Week Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. boiling water, 2 c. 40% bran flakes, 1 c. shortening, 4 eggs and 1 qt. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine water and bran flakes; cool.
Add shortening and eggs; beat well.
Add buttermilk.
In another bowl, sift flour, soda, salt and sugar.
Fold into wet mixture.
Add Bran Buds and nuts. Store in a covered container in refrigerator.
Use as you wish within 7 weeks.
You can add chocolate chips just before baking. Bake at 375Β° for 20 minutes.
