4 O'Clock Buns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. boiling water, 2 tsp. salt, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. lard and 2 pkg. dry yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Soak yeast in 1 cup warm water.
Boil water, salt and sugar 5 minutes.
Add lard and cool.
Add eggs and 4 cups flour, then yeast and remaining flour.
Start at 4 o'clock, knead at 6 o'clock and make buns at 9 o'clock; let rise overnight.
Bake at 425Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
These are great for breakfast.
