Preheat oven to 300°.

Mix sugar, eggs, butter and milk well. Roll nuts in 1 cup of flour, then add to creamed mixture.

Pour batter into Dutch oven and tie waxed paper over top.

Put Dutch oven into dishpan with water and boil for 2 hours.

Then put in oven and bake for 30 minutes at 300°.

Half all ingredients if you want a 5 pound cake.
