Yeast Bread

👨🍳 Instructions
Scald and measure the milk.
Add the yeast cake, sugar and salt; mix thoroughly.
Add about 1/2 the flour, mix well. Add the shortening and remaining flour.
Knead the dough quickly and lightly, until it is smooth and elastic.
Grease lightly. Allow to rise in a warm place (80°) until doubled in bulk. This will require about 2 hours.
Punch down.
Let rise about 45 minutes.
Mold into loaves and let rise about 1 hour. Bake at 380° until done.
