Turtle Cake
Turtle Cake is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 40 minutes. Made with box german chocolate cake mix, butter, c. milk, (14 oz.) pkg. caramels and (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Melt butter, milk and caramels.
Grease and flour 13 x 9 cake pan.
Mix cake mix as directed.
Pour 1/2 of cake mixture in cake pan.
Bake 15 minutes at 325°.
Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture directly on top.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped nuts over caramel mixture.
Pour remaining half of cake mix over entire mixture.
Bake 20 minutes at 250°.
Then turn oven up to 350° and cook 15 minutes longer.
Serve warm.
