Turnips Au Gratin
Turnips Au Gratin is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. (about 6 c.) turnips, peeled and diced, 1/4 c. butter or margarine, 3 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 3/4 tsp. salt and dash of pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Cook diced turnips until almost tender, about 5 minutes.
Melt 1/4 cup butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Add milk all at once.
Cook quickly, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
Remove from heat and add cheese, stirring until completely melted.
Stir in cooked turnips.
Turn into 10 x 6 x 2 baking dish.
Combine bread crumbs and butter.
Sprinkle on top of turnip mixture.
Bake at 375Β° until crumbs are golden brown, about 30 minutes.
