Summer Sausage
Summer Sausage is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground beef, 1/4 tsp. mustard seed, 1 c. water, 1 or 2 tbsp. liquid smoke and 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine all ingredients.
Divide mixture into 4 equal parts. Make a roll out of each part.
(Roll will be approximately 2 inches in diameter and about 3 inches long.)
Wrap each roll individually in foil, being sure the dull side is out. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
Punch holes on bottom of each roll and place on a broiler pan.
Put 1/2-inch of water in bottom of pan. Bake at 325Β° for 90 minutes.
Let cool enough to handle, re-wrap and refrigerate.
(Can also be frozen.)
