Scalloped Oysters
Scalloped Oysters is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. oysters, 3 c. bread crumbs, 1/2 c. melted butter, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Heat oven to 450°.
Mix bread crumbs with melted butter. Spread half of the crumbs in a greased baking dish (10 x 6 x 1 1/2-inches).
Arrange over crumbs in 2 layers: oysters (drained), salt, pepper, celery, parsley, milk, liquid from oysters and remaining crumbs.
Top layer will be crumbs.
Bake about 30 minutes.
Turn oven back to 400° if it begins to brown the crumbs.
