Sausage Cake
Sausage Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 52 minutes. Made with . pork sausage, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, slightly beaten and sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine sausage and sugars until well blended,
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift together four, spices, and baking powder.
Stir baking soda into coffee.
Add flour mixture and coffee alternately to meat mixture, beating well after each addition.
Pour boiling water to cover over raisins and let stand 5 minutes.
Drain well and pat dry with paper towel.
Fold raisins and walnuts into batter,
Turn into well greased and floured Bundt pan (9c size). Bake 1 1/2 hours or until done at 350.
Cool 15 minutes before turning out of pan.
To store wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate.
