Michigan Hard Candy
Michigan Hard Candy is an easy dinner. Made with 3 3/4 c. sugar, 1 1/4 c. white karo and 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cook to 300Β° on candy thermometer.
Take off and add coloring (red, green or yellow) and 1 teaspoon flavoring.
Pour on large cookie sheet.
Cut in small pieces with scissors before completely cool.
Mix with powdered sugar.
Some different flavors you may use are oil of lemon, orange, peppermint, anise, raspberry, grape, wintergreen, etc.
These oils are available at Walgreen's.
The oils are better than the imitation flavorings found in grocery stores.
