Greek Walnut Cake

Sift flour and spices together
Beat eggs well; add sugar
Add flour and liquids, alternately, to egg mixture, mixing thoroughly after each addition
Add walnuts; mix thoroughly
Stir baking soda into the cognac; mix it into batter
Pour into greased 9 x 12-inch pan
Bake approximately 45 minutes in 400Β° oven
As soon as cake is baked, remove from oven and cut into squares
Pour warm honey into all lines and around edges of warm cake
Grate walnuts over cake.
