English Trifle
English Trifle is an easy dinner. Made with 1 yellow cake mix, 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sweetened strawberries, 1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding, 1 container cool whip and chopped pecans (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Bake cake according to package directions.
Thaw strawberries and prepare pudding according to package directions.
Take a sewing thread and moving it back and forth, cut one (9-inch) layer horizontally.
Place bottom half of the layer in a casserole dish. Layer with strawberries and pudding.
Place the top of the cake layer on top of this and top with another layer of strawberries and pudding.
Top with a thick layer of Cool Whip to fill the bowl.
Sprinkle with pecans.
Chill until served.
