Elaine's Brisket
Elaine'S Brisket is an moderately easy grilled dish you can prepare in about 1 hour 6 minutes. Made with brisket (can use chuck roast or other cuts of pot roast), c. whole cranberry sauce, dry onion soup, c. ketchup and ginger ale to cover, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Put meat in roaster pan, without lid, and sear on high heat using oven at 450°.
Turn after about 15 minutes.
Now, pour remaining ingredients in with brisket.
Cover pan with lid or foil.
Pour ginger ale halfway up pot (don't cover pan completely).
Cook at 350° for 2 1/2 hours, covered.
