Crispy Crunch Bars
Crispy Crunch Bars is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 22 minutes. Made with c. tiny marshmallows, . butter or margarine, . vanilla, c. crisp rice cereal or round toasted oat cereal and c. raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds or snipped gumdrops (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with foil.
Butter the foil. In a large saucepan, melt marshmallows and 3 tablespoons butter or margarine over low heat, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla. Stir in half of the cereal at a time.
Fold in raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds, nuts or snipped gumdrops if desired.
Turn mixture into prepared pan.
Press evenly with the back of wooden spoon or with buttered hands.
Cool; cut into bars.
Makes 24 bars.
