Citrus Brunch Fruit
Citrus Brunch Fruit is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 cans mandarin oranges, drained, 3 cans grapefruit sections, drained, 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine orange and grapefruit sections.
Make syrup from sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
Add 1/2 cup lemon juice and cool.
Pour syrup over oranges and grapefruit and marinate overnight.
Just before serving, add sliced avocado.
This can be drained and served on lettuce or you can serve undrained in cups, etc.
Serves 8 to 10.
