TSU Affiliated Programs - Monterrey Tec (ITESM)
ITESM is a private Mexican university system with
over 25 campuses throughout Mexico. Seven of these campuses offer
programs specifically for study abroad students. ITESM facilitates
study abroad enrollment for American students who wish to attend
their university system sites in Mexico for either semester or
summer programs. Program offerings vary but coursework in Spanish
as a second language and some cultural and business coursework
in English are offered at some sites.

Ciudad de Mexico Campus: Located in the south end
of Mexico City.
Estado de Mexico Campus: Located northeast of Mexico
City in Atizapan de Zaragoza.
Cuernavaca Campus: Located 45 minutes south of Mexico
City. It is a resort town known as the "City of Eternal Spring."
Guadalajara Campus: Located in the capital
of the Mexican state of Jalisco.
Monterrey Campus: The main system campus located in Monterrey,
174 miles south of the U.S. border.
Queretaro Campus: Located in the middle of Mexico,
125 miles north of Mexico City.
Toluca Campus: Located 30 minutes from Mexico City.

ELIGIBILITY: Students going through TSU must
have a 2.5 GPA for admission. Some locations and program offerings
require more advanced language training. Please carefully read
the admission requirements and program details for the program
you choose.
APPLICATION: Students must apply and be admitted
for study abroad before submitting applications for the affiliated

REGISTRATION: Students are placed in Affiliated
Study Abroad hours at TSU (amount determined by full-time status
requirements). Registration for specific courses offered on the
program is conducted through ITESM.
FEES AND TUITION: All fees and tuition are
paid to the Affiliated Program. Students need to arrange their
own insurance and flights. Arrangements for housing are made by
the program but students are responsible for payments. Check
the program listings on the ITESM website for up-to-date costs.
No tuition is charged or paid at TSU.
FINANCIAL AID: Students remain eligible for
most TSU financial
aid and scholarships as well as the International Study Abroad

CREDIT: Credit is evaluated for TSU course
equivalencies before being posted on the students record.
The Study Abroad Office cannot guarantee that the credit will
transfer back or that it will count towards a degree. Students
are encouraged to follow study abroad advisement procedures to
assist in the return of credit for affiliated programs. For

TSU students must first apply for Affiliated programs
through the Study Abroad Office. Applications are reviewed to
assess academic suitability, preparation, and maturity. Applications

Office.
